Der Schwarze Kolner Restaurant Review:
Named partly for the German city of Cologne’s blackened and gargantuan Gothic cathedral, this Fort Greene beer hall serves classic Teutonic treats and the hoppy libations that go with them. Or is it the other way around? Whatever the case, the nearly two dozen beers on tap and 18 in bottles are a Central European beer lover's dream. Especially since some of the beers are not easy to find in New York City. The cheese plates are decent enough, but the meatier options are better at this black-and-white-tiled beer Mecca: curry wurst, German (pork and beef) meatloaf, and the thick bratwurst settle in nicely with the suds.
