THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Divino Restaurant Review:
For more than three decades, this Italian restaurant on the Upper East Side has been serving up old-school classics to a regular clientele. Spaghetti and meatballs might seem staid---and, in a way, it is---but here there’s a kind of nostalgic appeal to the plump juicy meatballs slathered in red sauce. For diners in search of meatier fare, Divino is carne central: rosemary-spiked rack of lamb, a thick Angus shell steak, and a roast rack of pork in a balsamic reduction. Wash it all down with an affordable bottle of Chianti of which there are plenty of options.
