This chic, contemporary SoHo-inspired interior occupies a renovated former firehouse, with a courtyard that features hydroponic herb gardens. And though the place may look Manhattan, the food is strictly island-meets-Deep South. Consider the local black drum spiced with Meyer lemon, or sautéed sweetbreads with chimichurri. Dessert is always accompanied by plantain cotton candy; try the passion fruit panna cotta. Wine offerings are as diverse as one would require for a modern fine dining experience. Plan to linger a while and visit the very cool bar before and after your meal. Note: Chef Dominique Macquet is leaving the restaurant.
