THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Dos Caminos Restaurant Review:
Dos Caminos is a hip and lively Mexican restaurant with a sense of style. It takes no time to be seated, even on busy weekend nights. Fresh-made guacamole arrives promptly, served with warm corn tortilla chips and a trio of salsas --- note that these heady slurries with various degrees of heat (and the chips) are hard to resist even knowing they may leave no room for dinner. And that would be a shame, because Dos Caminos offers interesting dishes at reasonable prices. Herb-roasted chicken breasts, fragrant and tasty, come accompanied by pickled heirloom tomatoes, a serrano pepper and avocado salsa, and Mexican brown rice tossed with toasted sunflower seeds for a little extra texture and flavor. Fajitas are solid in their execution; sizzling platters arrive with onions and poblano slices. End the meal with a slice of dark chocolate tamal: soft chocolate cake, topped with Mexican chocolate sauce, with a refreshing passion fruit sorbet on the side. Enjoy a wide selection of Mexican beers or any of the margarita variations.
