Robert Evans moved his team and copious wine cellar from the now-closed Palm Desert Italian eatery into this space formerly occupied by Yujean Kang's and many others. The restaurant is airy yet a bit genteel---certainly more Palm Springs than West Hollywood---with red-trimmed pink pastel walls and a large stone fireplace. The menu offers solid pastas and pizzas, but also comforting dishes like barbecued pork ribs, liver with onions, and a satisfying pomegranate-molasses-grilled rack of lamb. For starters, the unique progressive scallop tasting---each of four bites more indulgent than the last---is among our favorites.
