THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED D'Vine Cafe Restaurant Review:
With its sun-kissed patio and shelf of borrowable books, this little café at the corner of Canon Perdido and De La Vina (hence the name) is a popular spot for lingering lunches. To be sure, the ambient setting is part of the draw, but the food is pleasing as well. Though authentic deli fare such as a Reuben sandwich is available, we recommend the "Chickami" --- a combination of grilled chicken, sliced pastrami, smoked mozzarella and mayo on a Dutch crunch roll, and California classics like the Cobb salad or the “sunshine” sandwich, a vegetarian mélange of cucumber, avocado, tomato, red onion, carrots and sprouts, plus cream cheese and a dollop of ranch dressing on whole-wheat bread. Soups are made in-house daily. Specials may include a burger with bacon and blue cheese. Fresh pastries and espresso drinks round out the offerings.
