El Paraguas Restaurant Review:

Amber lighting and earthy tones create a warm and inviting dining space where you can explore the flavors of traditional Asturian fish, meat and rice dishes. Dedicated to the classic recipes of Asturias, chef Sandro Silva has swum against the current to prove that traditional Spanish gastronomy can still delight even the most discerning diner. Start with a selection of crab cakes, oxtail croquettes and meatballs, as well as tuna tartare with salmon caviar. For seafood lovers, we suggest mains such as black rice with scallops and cockles; hake in cider with apple compote; or morrillo tuna with roasted cherry juice. Meat mains like the classic fabada Asturiana (a rich stew of white beans, chorizo and pork) and roast beef with black truffle are sure to delight. The wine list features some of the best vintages from across Spain, with a particularly excellent selection of Riojas. Try the 1995 Veguin de Murua reserva or the 2003 Gran Feudo Chardonnay. Finish with apple tart with white chocolate ice cream or fruit salad with mango sorbet, and be sure to see it away with a glass of Juvé y Camps cava or Moët & Chandon rosé Champagne.
