Try the gambas costa brava, tangy shrimp sautéed with homemade piri-piri and brown sauce, or the refreshing shrimp ceviche. You also can’t go wrong with the paella Valenciana, a heaping plate of clams, shrimp, mussels, chicken and Spanish sausage cooked with saffron rice, garnished with peas and diced roasted peppers. Carnivorous visitors need not worry --- there are plenty of red meat options as well. Finally, choose a Latin or Californian vintage from the respectable wine list and enjoy. All of these haunting and gutsy flavors are enough to leave you longing for a Barcelona or Madeira getaway.
