THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Family Meal Restaurant Review:
Like its Maryland sibling, this Virginia location of chef Bryan Voltaggio’s Family Meal offers classic American dishes that appeal to all age groups. Chicken potpie fritters (yes, these really do work) and hot chicken wings are among starters, and burgers, meatloaf and shrimp and grits capture the entrée spotlight. Sides include mac ‘n’ cheese, corn on the cob and fried potatoes. Assorted pies and a double brownie sundae populate the dessert list. If you head here with a group of kids who crave pancakes even for dinner, know that Family Meal serves breakfast all day long. For adults, there’s a well-stocked bar mixing old-fashioned cocktails and pouring selections from a short wine list.
