THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Fino Restaurant Review:
The owners, Sam and Eddie Hart, alternated their holidays between Mallorca where their mother comes from, and Rutland, where their parents own the supremely comfortable country house hotel, Hambleton Hall. The result? A couple of young men who know exactly what top-class hospitality is all about. The welcoming, smart basement restaurant-bar isn’t cheap, but with ingredients like the best hams and sausages, the freshest prawns, squid and scallops, foie gras and quail, you can't expect the usual bargain basement tapas prices (invariably along with the bargain basement tapas tastes). Move on from tapas and try whole leg of Pyrenean milk-fed lamb (for two), or a simply cooked suckling pig from Segovia. The (almost) all-Spanish wine list offers a lesson in all that is good from the country at reasonable prices, and has an outstanding sherry list. Service is young and friendly and one of the brothers is usually there to make sure all goes well.
