Popular with the garment-district execs and business types who work nearby, this well-run restaurant does a big lunch business but doesn't draw a broader audience at dinner. The Northern Italian cuisine is pretty good along conventional lines. The fettuccine is tossed with smoked salmon, vodka and Mascarpone, the ravioli is stuffed with lobster, and there are good fresh fish dishes, as well as nine preparations of veal, chicken and other classic New York Italian restaurant fare served in he-man portions. The wine list has some good Italian selections, and the service is fairly formal, old-style European.
