This mom-and-pop Indian eatery is bare of the decorative and culinary frills found at bigger Indian restaurants, but for solid, stick-to-the-ribs portions without any exotic flavors, you will find enough on the menu and on the daily buffet to keep you happy. The menu always seems to offer more interesting choices, but obviously, you pay a price. We favor its samosa channa, a generous portion with sides of both tamarind and coriander chutney, a better choice than the very routine vegetable pakoras---of cauliflower or eggplant---on the buffet. And the menu's chicken tikka masala, fiercely hot and outstanding, is a better bet than the buffet's tandoori chicken and butter chicken.
