The Fountain Coffee Room Restaurant Review:

Not exactly your typical coffee shop, this retro beauty has been situated in the posh Beverly Hills Hotel since 1949. In the ’50s or ’60s, you might have spotted Lucille Ball breakfasting at the curvy black counter, with the signature banana-leaf wallpaper as a backdrop. Even the original 20 counter stools have been lovingly restored, now just as they were when iconic L.A. architect Paul Williams designed them. In the morning, expect a sour cream and caviar omelet, pecan Belgian waffles, and eggs Benedict. Later in the day, there are basic sandwiches and salads, as a well as a grilled cheese with bacon. For the calorie-conscious, try healthier dishes, like chopped lean New York steak with tomatoes. A meal wouldn’t be complete without a float, shake or slice of homemade cake. So what if you're over-paying? You're in the eternally glamorous Beverly Hills Hotel.
