Franco's Restaurant Review:
The interior is Art Deco and very comfortable with nothing to frighten the establishment. Open for breakfast, it fills up with antique and art dealers arriving early; lunch is a mix of business types and ladies who lunch; at dinner everyone pitches up. The Italian menu offers classics: Parma ham with rocket and Parmesan; oven-baked sardines with fennel and orange; mains might include steamed sea bream with cannellini beans, tomatoes and razor clams or pan-fried calf’s liver with spinach and a balsamic vinegar sauce. Desserts remain nicely traditional. The staff is professional; wine is on the pricey side and the ground floor looks out onto Jermyn Street. The outdoor tables are much sought after in summer. Set 2-course lunch £22, 3 courses £26, 4 courses £30. Pre- and post-theatre dinner 2 courses £16, 3 courses £20.
