This reasonably authentic New York-style deli, the Valley sibling of a Santa Monica hangout of the same name, is a reliable spot for staples like corned beef, pastrami, brisket, chopped liver and a solid matzoh ball soup. It's a big, airy dining room ideal for family outings and lingering over the Sunday Times. Although most dedicated deli patrons---even in L.A.---are not particularly interested in this sort of thing, Fromin's even offers a special low-fat menu.
