The Front Yard Restaurant Review:
About the restaurant: If you are looking for a large space that opens into a lush patio, this is your place. The front yard is framed by brown brick walls and decorated with mismatched lounge seating, strings of lights and a fire pit. The dining room touts plush tan booths, a white stalactite-type ceiling, caged copper globe chandeliers that hold glass balls, and rod lighting with bulbs at both ends above the bar.
Food & Drinks: If you are looking for "great" casual food, this might not be the place, especially if you add the dreadful service. The menu has dishes of all sizes to feed variable appetites. Bites include deviled eggs with candied bacon and green garbanzo hummus paired with chive flatbread. Continue with salads, flatbreads, sides, main dishes (charred rare ahi, tagliatelle Bolognese, butternut squash "Shepherd's Pie); or larger plates for sharing, such as crab-stuffed whole branzino, fried chicken and a 36 oz. Angus Tomahawk ribeye served with black garlic demi, sautéed shishito peppers, triple fried long fries and blue cheese crumbles. For dessert, butterscotch pudding is sprinkled with sea salt, topped with vanilla bean whipped cream and plated with spicy caramel popcorn. Drinks include cocktails and mocktails, California beer and wine. Some items are common at lunch and dinner such as the charred shishito peppers, the kale Caesar, the caramelized Brussels or the TFY Burger.
