THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Fuego Restaurant Review:
The entire Hispanic culinary world---from Spain to its former New World colonies---serves as inspiration for the tapas themselves, which may include a sweet potato-filled tamal, Gorgonzola-and-walnut stuffed bell peppers, Gorgonzola-stuffed dates wrapped with bacon, quesadillas and excellent roasted chicken salad. From Spain comes paella (available in two portion sizes) and from Argentina the chimichurri beef tenderloin. Flan for dessert is classically dense, not-too-tall South American-style, and really, really tasty. The wine list is drawn chiefly from Spain and Latin America (Chile and Argentina). Ask about the Monday night wine tastings and frequent wine-focused dinners. Monthly salsa night features a DJ and dance lessons for beginning hoofers.
