THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Garrison's Broiler & Tap Restaurant Review:
A raw bar and a rooftop patio (open to the public Wed.-Sat.), where patrons gather to watch the sunset, are highlights at this branch of Garrison’s. Of the appetizers, top choices are the roasted corn lobster dip and the raw bar, which features a variety of oysters and offers a seafood tower. Snow crab claws, also presented on the ample brunch buffet, are sweet and meaty. Dotted with optional anchovies, crisp Caesar salad sports a house-made dressing. Side dishes of creamed spinach and garlic mashed potatoes are particularly appealing, and vegetarians may compose a plate of very good items or choose something non-meat from the menu. Go for simple fare, such as one of the Niman Ranch steaks. The quaff of choice is a brew, and you'll find unusual options on the extensive list. Try the Magic Hat brew from Vermont, for something out of the ordinary. Brunch is an extensive affair set to jazz. Skip the egg dishes and go straight for the crab legs and roast beef with horseradish sauce. Carrot cake for dessert is a must.
