THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Giorgio's Restaurant Review:
Carlo Borelli’s restaurant features a menu with a multi-pronged Italian focus. There are hearty dishes like fried shrimp with mustard sauce and rigatoni in creamy Gorgonzola sauce. A small list of pizzas is highlighted by the quattro stagioni, sporting buffalo mozzarella, mushrooms, artichokes and kalamata olives. For health-conscious diners, long swaths of menu adhere to the Surgeon General’s dietary guidelines. Borelli also subscribes to Dr. Atkins’ philosophy, devoting more menu space to à la carte selections like swordfish and thin-sliced beef. One of the best things about Giorgio’s is the ability to sample a variety of dishes on a single plate. For a bargain price, the chef partners four different preparations of veal. Giorgio’s Sampler utilizes ravioli, eggplant Parmigiana, chicken Marsala and veal piccata. At lunch, expect panini like the hearty Al Capone, cradling meatballs, sausage, cheese and meat sauce.
