Gladstone's Restaurant Review:
About the restaurant: This sprawling, 9,000-square-foot restaurant with harbor views is conveniently located near the Aquarium of the Pacific and the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center. Starters like sushi rolls, coconut shrimp with pineapple-plum sauce, oysters, and steamers are on hand to kick off your meal.
Food & Drinks: For entrées, you’ll find Maine lobster as well as Parmesan-crusted halibut and truffle-scented lobster mac ‘n’ cheese. Landlubbers will also find turf items like free-range roasted half chicken and baby-back ribs. The star of the menu is the daily-changing fresh fish selection, which ranges from salmon and ahi to mahi mahi and locally caught sea bass. Each fish is either grilled or blackened and accompanied by sauces like beurre blanc or caper-Chardonnay butter. For dessert, expect favorites like “mile-high” chocolate cake or macadamia-crusted apple pie with pineapple-coconut ice cream. The wine list is pro forma, but very reasonably priced.
