It isn't always easy to find good Chinese food in Portland, but this immaculate café offers basic Cantonese, Mandarin, Szechuan and Hunan fare that's exceptionally tasty. Most people grab their food to go, but some sit and linger over the kinds of dishes Americans crave as Chinese comfort food: chow mein, egg rolls, fried rice and pot-stickers. Everything is flavorful and nicely prepared; vegetarians have plenty of options. Just don't expect anything too fancy.
