After a little facelift, Halcyon remains a tranquil haven within the spacious and comfortable Rihga Royal hotel. Start with innovative dishes such as lobster bisque with crème fraîche and caviar, and jumbo lump crab cakes with vegetable etouffée. Signature entrées include salmon steak with baby bok choy and an Asian slaw and muscovy duckling and confit leg served with wild rice root vegetable hash, pecans and natural jus. The wines are affordable, especially considering the luxurious surroundings. Halcyon’s three-course pre-theater prix-fixe dinner (5:30 p.m.-6:30p.m.) is a $39 deal.
