There are only a few good Greek restaurants in London, which makes Halepi even more of a find. It's in a quiet, residential part of north London, and has an interior that's stripped bare of Hellenic kitsch, allowing you to concentrate on the first-rate ingredients, simply but well-prepared. The classic dishes (taramasalata, Greek salad, spanakopita) are fine examples, but go for the less obvious choices if you want a surprise.
