THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Half King Restaurant Review:
Well-known writer Sebastian Junger, who penned "The Perfect Storm," opened this urban pub along with Scott Anderson and Nanette Burstein. It is part neighborhood hangout, part party scene, and a favorite among brooding writer types, who often keep their journals propped on the bar next to their pint of beer. The Half King is really a bar, but in true pub tradition the kitchen turns out cheap and filling food (that manages to taste good, too). Dinner grub includes jalapeño poppers, fish 'n' chips, and hearty burgers. Guinness is available on draft, as well as several local beers. On St. Patrick's Day, expect corned beef and cabbage, but no green beer.
