Hanalei Dolphin Restaurant Review:

Located in a scenic spot with lush tropical foliage at a bend in the Hanalei River, and built on the site of a historic boat shed, the Hanalei Dolphin is a longtime favorite with locals and visitors alike. It's not fancy, but it's a consistently reliable place on the North Shore to enjoy fresh, local fish, albeit at high prices. The addition of a sushi and saké lounge has perked things up a bit. Ceviche (also available as take-out at the Dolphin fish market, along with sushi rolls) is topnotch. The remainder of the offerings are a predictable mix of steak, shrimp and chicken. Lunch is fish, burgers, tacos and salads. Also located at Kukuiula Shopping Village, 2829 Ala Kalanikaumaka Rd., Poipu.
