THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Happy Noodle House Restaurant Review:
Boulder's hippest denizens get their noodle on at this Asian-inspired eatery overseen by restaurateur Dave Query, whose restaurant empire also includes Zolo Grill, West End Tavern, Jax Fish House, Lola and Centro. The bar area buzzes with imbibers who knock back handcrafted cocktails (we highly recommend the Pimm's #1 Cup with Zen green tea liqueur and muddled fresh fruit) concocted by mixologist and bar manager Mark Stoddard. The stylish dining room, some of which includes communal seating, pulsates with energy, much of it coming from the kitchen, where executive chef Salvatore Proia and his crew turn out dishes such as fried Brussels sprouts leaves peppered with sea salt, steamed cha siu pork or vegetable buns drizzled with hoisin sauce. There are also myriad noodle bowls, including a Korean pork rib hotpot with floating dumplings; a bowl of seafood buoyant with shrimp, crab, mussels and clams; and pho with beef brisket, rice noodles and all the requisite garnishes.
