Harry's Bar
Famous for its Bellini cocktail and Carpaccio, Harry's Bar is a staple of Venice dining.
Harry's Bar Restaurant Review:
This swanky, famous bar is frequented by locals, business owners from the neighborhood who come in for a quick coffee or a bite to eat. Most tourists are gently guided to the upstairs dining room, while the downstairs area is very busy and crowded. People go for the atmosphere of the place, which is situated at the waterfront of the Canal Grande. Harry’s Bar is where the Carpaccio dish was invented, so by all means order it. But they serve a good club sandwich and a risotto Parmigiano, too. The Bellini, named after a famous Venetian painter just like Carpaccio, is a cocktail made from white peaches and Prosecco; the pink color comes from the crushed skin of the peach.
