THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Heavy Noodling Restaurant Review:
Monterey Park is filled with Chinese restaurants, from massive dim sum temples to diminutive noodle houses like this. Heavy Noodling is a modern, bright storefront eatery specializing in an extensive array of dishes that incorporate noodles, all hand-pulled and hand-cut on the premises in the style of northern Chinas Shanxi region (by the way, the cats ears on the menu refers to just another noodle shape). At lunch, youll see local businessmen, their ties stuffed into their starched shirts, slurping long noodles from big bowls of aromatic soups. We love the pork-filled won tons bathed in a chile sauce with a hint of peanut, steamed chive-pork dumplings and vegetable pies.
