Clearwater Beach's Hogfish offers an active watering hole for after-work customers as well as a menu that emphasizes local and quick food, but with some creativity. The emphasis is on seafood---fresh from the Gulf of Mexico in most cases. There are specials daily, from grouper (when in season) to prime rib. Among the more popular items are those labeled "Knife & Fork Sandwiches," including a chophouse burger, a hogfish sandwich, even a meatloaf sandwich. The Thanksgiving sandwich features turkey on an English muffin with cranberry sauce and caper mayonnaise.
