THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Hollywood Brown Derby Restaurant Review:
The original Hollywood landmark is reborn here, right down to the signature Cobb salad which, legend has it, was thrown together from bits and leftovers by the original owner when a star showed up after hours. Caricatures of the famous of old Tinseltown decorate the walls. The look is more a fantasy of bygone Hollywood than the real thing (the original Derby was demolished years ago), and as generations pass the nostalgia fades along with it. The food is reliably good here, though, even if the service is a bit abrupt. We still like the Cobb and prefer this Derby for lunch rather than dinner.
