Holy Taco Restaurant Review:
This casual joint offers a comfortable neighborhood style and personality, reinforced by the décor of lime green walls banded by orange-red shafts of color. The plant-ringed patio is about as large as the dining space itself. South-of-the-border fare leads on the menu, with tacos taking a primary role; they run about $5 per, but the quality justifies the price. Tongue and goat fillings appear among the tacos, although more mainstream proteins do as well. Georgia's Springer Mountain chicken supplies a half roasted bird "Peruvian style" with crisply cooked Brussels sprouts. The portion is plenty for two. Mexican tortas and a pressed Cuban sandwich allow for lighter dining. Wrap up the meal with the churros with chocolate. Tequila is the libation of choice, although there are some decent wines and an over-fruited sangría. But this is tequila central for those who favor the beverage. Kids eat free on Tuesdays; check for details and limitations.
