THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Hops Restaurant Bar & Brewery Restaurant Review:
In spite of the busy, impersonal (and sometimes dangerous multi-lane U.S. 19 outside), this venue has just the respite needed from that hectic commuter traffic. A variety of ales and lager-style beers are made on the premises. One of the most popular is the Alligator Ale (appropriate for Florida), mahogany colored ale with a smooth finish. Hops even brews its own root beer. The food is somewhat standard, with a few surprises. The entrées include steak, pork chops, chicken and pastas. Baby-back ribs are smoked in-house using a five-step cooking process. Jerk Roast Tenderloin is a delicious new addition (pork tenderloin marinated with jerk seasoning and olive oil, roasted and served with a Marsala mushroom sauce).
