THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED indebleu Restaurant Review:
With a change at the kitchen’s helm---now under the watchful eye of executive chef Michael Hartzer, formerly of DC’s Viridian restaurant---indebleu veers slightly away from the curious blend of French and Indian flavors and presentations from its earlier days. Now expect to find a trimmed-down menu with very contemporary American dishes, some energized with an infusion of Asian flavors: the sea bass with pad thai flavors is one example. But the edgy cooking draws upon many different influences to come up with entrées that are unique and approachable. To start or end the evening, you may want to drop in to the affiliated Stir Lounge downstairs for a flashy cocktail. All in all, an entertaining stopover before or after a trip to the Verizon Center.
