THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED LOCATIONS Joe's American Bar & Grill Restaurant Review:

This regional chain of American grills provides heaping platters of middle-of-the-road fare: burgers, nachos, apple pie and the like. Its target audience? The burger, nacho and apple pie crowd, of course---tourists on the run, students on the cheap, and locals on lunch break. In other words, we wouldn’t trust either branch in Boston proper to meet our criteria for, say, sparkling-fresh crab cakes or exquisite prime rib. That said, we never turn up our noses at the complimentary cocktail that comes with brunch---nor at patios that embody what dining al fresco is all about: one boasts Newbury Street, with all its fashion-forward passersby, as a backdrop, the other has the waterfront.
