THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Kahunaville Restaurant Review:
Kahunaville's lush tropical interior will astound, if not charm, older guests while fascinating the kids with an animatronic tortoise, dancing waters fountain display and-the killer-a roomful of ringing and roaring video and carnival games. Get past the show and a surprisingly diverse and delicious menu waits, combining elements of East Asian, Mexican, and Caribbean cuisine with West Coast seafood and classic American favorites. Oriental pot stickers share the appetizers list with Jamaican jerk skewers and a chimichurra beef quesadilla served with tropical pesto. Entrées include jambalaya and inventive pasta dishes such as chicken penne Toscana and Island seafood pasta. Our favorite has been the King's chicken feast that includes a perfectly roasted whole chicken served with a twice-baked sweet potato and three dipping sauces: coconut curry, tropical barbecue and cilantro-lime. The servers will occasionally skip off to sing and dance, but the kitchen also puts on quite a show.
