THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Kristian's Ristorante Restaurant Review:
An island of restrained good taste, with soft-spoken waiters and beige draperies and linens, Kristian’s reminds us of a country restaurant in Tuscany. The uptown slant of the wine list shows thought and attention, and chef Kristian Leuzzi gives his Italian cuisine a contemporary edge. Pasta dishes include fregola, a small, barley shaped pasta, with mussels in a tomato-leek broth, and risotto with radicchio. His burnished osso buco is served with a tiny spoon for scooping out the velvety bone marrow, and pan roasted Idaho brook trout stuffed with prosciutto, sauced with brown butter and sage, has a salad of radicchio, cucumbers and radishes on the side. Since the desserts are ho-hum, finish your meal with a grappa.
