Kroll's West Restaurant Review:
You don’t have to be a Pack fan (but don’t let them know) to eat, drink and enjoy the game at this institution across from Lambeau Field. The family restaurant is known for its char-grilled eats. That includes the original Kroll hamburger that dates back to 1936. Other sandwich specialties include a fried perch sandwich, a grilled or fried pork chop sandwich served with sauerkraut and cheese, and Wisconsin bratwurst gussied up with butter, mustard, pickles and onions. Also on the menu are homemade soups --- the chicken dumpling and "homemade booyah," a slow-cooked soup with chicken, beef and vegetables. Pizza and hearty dishes like beef covered with gravy and served over whipped potatoes; blue gill; perch; and the fabled broasted chicken also are available. Try the Baumeister root beer, a Wisconsin favorite; there’s a short wine list and a wide selection of beer on offer too.
