THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED La Ferme Restaurant Review:
A 1904 guest house in Genoa, a small town about 20 miles from South Lake Tahoe, is the home of La Ferme. Chef Yves Gigot offers seasonal French country cuisine. A summer menu could bring light tastes such as the watermelon and mint salad or a slow-cooked salad of seasonable vegetables. On cooler nights guests can find heartier entrées --- seafood and meat paella for two, or lasagna with pecorino. Some of La Ferme's signature dishes remain year-round: apple wood-barbecued salmon with an Asian twist, and Maple Leaf duck two ways with apple confit and honey jus. Ice cream and other desserts are prepared in-house. Before or after dinner, guests can take a stroll in the garden or browse the arts and crafts in the Gilles Menagerie boutique.
