THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED La Luna Negra Restaurant Review:
Pretend you're in a tapas bar in Madrid, snacking on smoked trout, Spanish sausages, olives and tortillas Españolas while sipping a glass of Valdapeñas. While it's not a totally authentic experience, that illusion is still possible at La Luna Negra, the boldly colored Old Pasadena restaurant. Enjoy some flamenco dancing and select from a large menu featuring black tiger shrimp in lime juice and cilantro, pork tenderloin with grilled onions and pomegranate, a pastry filled with salmon and porcini mushrooms, and lamb chops with eggplant and goat cheese. Unfortunately, multiple dishes arrive on a single platter, which leads to dreaded sauce mixing. We don't recommend the paellas. There are flamenco shows Thursday through Sunday nights, and live bands with salsa dancing and merengue on Fridays and Saturdays.
