The Aquitaine Group introduces an Italian-American restaurant to the South End.

THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED La Motta's Italian Specialties Restaurant Review:
The Aquitaine Group closed Union Bar & Grille and transformed the space into La Motta's Italian Specialties, which takes its name from co-owner Seth Woods' family tree. The Bronx-style, Italian-American concept features everything from calamari and different styles of meatballs to chicken Parmesan, lasagna and "Bronx-style" thin crust pizza. Get started with golden arancini overstuffed with Fontina and mascarpone. Healthier offerings include roasted cauliflower with golden raisins and chili oil or spicy broccoli rabe with garlic. Jumbo meatballs can be ordered à la carte or as a side or starter and come in the form of spicy veal and pork, classic beef or beef with golden raisin and mint. Order up a glass of red to pair with the sausage lasagna or chicken Parm. Be sure to save room for a taste of the super light tiramisu that is almost too good to share.
