THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED La Scala Restaurant Review:

Glistening brass and multiple mirrors frame dignified diners at this posh-in-pink Euro-centric enclave. The Italian-accented menu seems fixed in time, a probable plus for the patrons, but we find appetizers such as mussels marinara and blue crab fingers to outshine entrées such as a strident chicken breast with artichokes and pallid veal scaloppine with mustard cream sauce. A pasta primavera is fresh and appealing, however, and the lunchtime filet with classic béarnaise is first-rate---and a fine prelude to the locally de rigueur dessert: a milky-creamy tres leches cake.
