THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED La Vigna Restaurant Review:
The waiters may wear tuxedos at this unassuming little Italian restaurant on the edge of Queen Village, but they are far from formal. The friendly greetings and quiet atmosphere, whether sitting in the beige dining room or on the bright, Palladian-windowed porch, attract loyal regulars. Of course, there is the food---well-prepared and well-priced, running the gamut from a sparkling insalata di mare and hearty pasta e fagioli, through dishes such as spinach and ricotta ravioli, or angel hair in a sauce of tomatoes and cream, spiked with grappa and caviar. The dessert list is no different---they range from treats such as Oreo cheesecake to lemon meringue cake. La Vigna also offers a deep Italian wine list that offers simple Rosso di Montalcino or a Super-Tuscan to heighten your meal.
