• The George Sportsmen’s Lounge, part of the FINE Entertainment group, has opened at the Durango Casino & Resort. Situated off of the casino and leading into the sports book, a wall of humongous LED screens and several additional wrap-around large monitors provide a stadium-like experience and an outdoor dining patio with artificial turf is where games, live entertainment and private events take place. The high-end menu offers varied options such as baked goat cheese with cherry tomato chutney, Brussels sprouts topped with balsamic glaze and toasted pecans, Philly cheesesteak egg roll made with shaved ribeye, gorgonzola-crusted lamb chops with red demi wine glaze, umami-dusted halibut with wild mushroom risotto, 32 oz tomahawk ribeye and banana pecan bread pudding with bourbon caramel sauce. Signature cocktails, created by corporate director of beverage Mark Hefter, include Pleasure Business with Hendrick’s Gin, pineapple juice, lime juice, Dress the Drink Triple Syrup and foamer. • LPM Restaurant & Bar is now open at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. The décor exudes the glamour and sophistication of the South of France with French shutters, tomato-red chairs, original murals painted in simplistic and refined style and an outdoor terrace with a view of the Vegas Strip. The food menu makes use of the ingredients of the French Mediterranean and dishes are meant to be shared family style, such as warm prawns with olive oil and lemon juice, thin sliced octopus with lemon and green chili dressing, green lentil salad with apple and burnt tomatoes, grilled Chilean seabass with chili and lemon confit, lobster risotto with mushrooms, slow-cooked duck legs with orange glaze and vanilla cheesecake with berry compote. The cocktail menu features creations based on the life of playwright and artist Jean Cocteau like Beauty and the Beast made with Ketel One, St. Germain, Yellow Chartreuse, strawberry and Fernet Cordial. • Chef Roy Choi and writer/director/actor Jon Favreau have joined forces to launch The Chef Truck at Park MGM, bringing to life the culinary friendship that began with the hit movie Chef and continued in the popular Netflix series The Chef Show. Located near the casino floor, menu items are prepared in an actual chef truck, dishing up signature items from the big screen including the Cubano with portabella mushrooms and eggplant, a grilled cheese sandwich with four types of cheese and the famous chocolate lava cake. Other menu items include mojo pork bowl with roasted pork and fried plantains; medianoche sandwich with ham, pork and cheese; roasted mojo pork burrito; and chef’s salad. The Chef Truck is open Mon.-Thu. from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. and Fri.-Sun. from 8 a.m.-11 p.m. This new restaurant is Choi’s second concept in Las Vegas, joining Best Friend, which is also at Park MGM. • Flor Kitchen & Cocktails, a global Latin-vibe restaurant, is now open. Derived from the Spanish word for flower, the space is adorned with an elaborate rose-covered hallway that separates the lounge from the restaurant and its location at 1405 Sunset Road offers a panoramic view of the Strip and the airport. Chef Miguel Martinez heads the kitchen, curating a menu specializing in global Latin cuisine inspired by various countries around the world with different preparations of steak and a selection of sides that reflect the diverse flavors of these cultures. Hookah enthusiasts can enjoy the offerings from 10 p.m.-6 a.m. Mon.-Wed.; and Flor After Dark, the transformation of the steakhouse into an ultra-lounge featuring live music and entertainers, takes take place from 10 p.m.-6 a.m. Thu.-Sun. Mott 32 at The Palazzo is honoring Chinese New Year with their highly anticipated CNY specialty menu celebrating traditional Chinese flavors with Mott 32’s signature contemporary technique and flair. The limited menu, available from Feb. 10-24, includes whole lobster salad with abalone and house made sauce ($198); bird’s nest in bamboo pith superior broth ($168); crispy yellow chicken and coriander ($78); clear pot with crab meat, scallop, radish and egg white ($78); romaine lettuce heart casserole with minced pork and shrimp paste ($38); and lotus leaf rice with duck, chicken, prawn and conpoy ($48). Le Café du Val in Green Valley, after outgrowing its space, has added a new wine bar and additional seating. The wine bar serves beer, wine, red and white sangria, mimosas and wine cocktails such as Hibiscus Bubble Rita. The brunch menu, served on Saturdays and Sundays while supplies last, includes French toast trio with peanut butter and jelly, strawberry/chocolate and apple pie; merguez—lamb sausage skewers with a toasted baguette and spicy harissa mayonnaise; mini lobster roll with lobster salad on a butter toasted brioche; whipped ricotta spread—creamy ricotta whipped with hot honey, Espelette pepper and fresh basil and crispy focaccia; steak tartare with cornichons; and short rib shakshuka with tomato and onion topped with a sunny egg. The George Sportsmen's Lounge at the Durango Casino & Resort is hosting après-ski parties on its outdoor patio on Saturdays from 10 p.m. through February 24. The open-sky patio equipped with wrap-around LED screens will be transformed to a chic ski lodge feel with fire pits, vintage ski video clips, hot toddies and a chairlift for photos. Several winter cocktails and hot toddies will be available, including the Jorge Cocolat with El Destilador Tequila, George III syrup, Mexican chocolate, milk and whipped cream, priced at $14. There will also be live DJ entertainment, bottle service and a VIP experience with a reserved table by the fire pit and choice of premium spirits. All guests who come dressed in ski apparel will have the cover fee of $10 waived upon entry and women will also receive a complimentary glass of champagne for dressing up in ski apparel. Eiffel Tower Restaurant is now offering its brunch on Friday in addition to Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Priced at $59 per person, the brunch includes choice of appetizer, entrée and dessert with choices such as foie gras torchon, French onion soup, shrimp cocktail, French toast à la crème brulée lobster eggs Benedict, flat iron steak and eggs, smoked salmon, warm baked Alsace apple strudel and chocolate crunch bar. Bottiglia Cucina & Enoteca at Green Valley Ranch is offering an array of enticements and deals for every day of the week.
- A daily reverse happy hour from 9-10 p.m. Sun-Thu and 10-11 p.m. Fri-Sat offers half-off specialty cocktails, wine and liquor pours including top-shelf selections.
- Happy hour from 4-6 p.m. Mon-Fri has $8 food and drink specials.
