The whimsical painted façade of this tiny storefront gives an inkling of what’s inside. Sit adjacent to the bar or on the other side with its copper-topped tables and green brocade banquettes. Beige tile covers the floors and the ceiling has green, painted fans. The menu is as eclectic as the décor, featuring hickory smoked ribs with cornbread, and seitan meatloaf with miso-mushroom gravy. Menu regulars such as hummus or chicken drumettes tempt, but ask about the empanada of the day or other specials before ordering. There are lots of vegetarian-friendly options. Night-owls grab a global bite before heading upstairs to Fluid nightclub.
