THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Le Canard Restaurant Review:
Tucked away in a suburban strip mall, this restaurant with a French name and a Moroccan-born chef offers its own take on French cooking. The menu encompasses five duck dishes, all worthy of trying. Less worthy was the salty onion soup (oh, for more cheese!) and sautéed shrimp in a lackluster wine sauce. The calves liver smothered with bacon was certainly tender and thick, although a bit mushy. Less interesting: the veal Français with a sprinkling of salty capers. The kitchen would do well to toss out its salt shaker. Since man cannot live by food alone, this is also a popular destination for its late-night bar scene and piano entertainment.
