THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Le Guignol Restaurant Review:
When chef "Ala" Sutton took over from his brother, Shane, in the kitchen, people wondered how a pastry chef would fare at the helm. Chef Ala has done well and revitalized this spot attracting new customers in addition to the old guard. The menu still skews to the classic French with French onion soup, various foie gras preparations and rack of lamb. We strongly recommend the veal sweetbreads lightly covered by a rich butter sauce with langostinos. Not surprisingly, you'll find some of the most inventive food on the dessert menu where you can go safe with chocolate soufflé or be adventurous with black pepper cake and blue cheese ice cream---you decide. The dishes are all done well and the prices are gentle. This is a BYOB spot, so be sure to pick up your beverage on the way.
