THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Le Petit Jacques Cafe Restaurant Review:
Gregarious Jacques Lachkar, the always-present, hands-on restaurateur who built up a loyal Valley following over the years, continues his momentum here. His menu features both contemporary California dishes and bistro classics, thereby offering something for everybody. Items such as escargots Bourgogne, seared ahi tuna salad, salmon tartare, crab cakes with lobster aïoli, potato-crusted salmon in red wine reduction, and roasted duck breast with butternut squash purée are consistently satisfying. Desserts such as tarte Tatin, pot au chocolat and bread pudding are generally excellent. Vintage beverage posters accent the two cozy, whitewashed dining rooms. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday are lobster nights, featuring the best prices on this crustacean in town.
