Patrick Pignol’s imaginative, resolutely modern cuisine is a treat to discover. Uncompromising in his choice of ingredients, he follows the seasons to obtain the very freshest, finest produce. In summer, he’ll feature zucchini blossoms and other vegetables at the peak of their flavor; in fall, look for sage-scented braised partridge; winter might bring a mammoth sole in a sauce of lightly salted butter and fiery Szechuan pepper. Cozy atmosphere. If only Pignol would keep a tighter rein on his prices...!
