Stained-glass doors grace the entrance to this colorful two-story Art Deco restaurant that pays homage to France's famed artists and their works. On the spacious eatery's first level is the decoratively tiled open kitchen, where meats, fish and poultry are prepared by graceful chefs. Foie gras gets a sweeter treatment as a duo of white chocolate pâté with shortbread and seared with sour cherries chocolate sauce. Escargots are served vol au vent-style with rich garlic, herb butter, spinach and baby tomatoes. Steaks can be given a Continental treatment, as in the filet mignon Oscar, topped with lump crab meat, asparagus and béarnaise sauce. For dessert, make sure to allow ample time for the decadent chocolate soufflé.
