This place is so in, you’ll have a hard time finding it---unless you’re among the hipper-than-thou who know where it is. At the back of a Hollywood parking lot, behind an unmarked door, a garden patio evokes a town square in Provence. French designer and hostess extraordinaire Michèle Lamy relocated a Hollywood craftsmen house to this spot, and then invited all her friends to come dine and later hang out in the lounge where live music plays until late. As sensuous as the garden is, we find the cozy wood-paneled dining room also appealing. The service is distracted and slow, the organic French fare unexceptional: foie gras terrine, monkfish medallions, veal sweetbreads. But then, no one’s here for the food.
